What is a division order?

A division order is a document confirming ownership information on a particular property/unit and authorizing distribution of funds accordingly. The division order does not represent a sale of your property or a change to your lease.
When you sign and return the Division Order, you confirm that you agree with the information disclosed in the document. Where can I get a valuation of my mineral rights?

Please contact a certified petroleum engineer, a royalty management company or broker to obtain the valuation as this is NOT PART OF OUR SERVICES.

Owner Information Updates


What is an Owner Number (Account No.)?

You have been assigned a unique owner number for your account. Please include your owner number in all communications with Wagner Oil Company, including voice messages and in the subject line of email correspondence.

How can I change my mailing address?

It is very important that you keep us informed of an address change, even if you are receiving funds via direct deposit into your bank account. Address changes must be received in writing. Please fill out the Change of Address form found on our website and send changes to:

What to do in case of a Name Change?

You will need to provide us with a copy of the following:
        1) Marriage Certificate
        2) Divorce Decree reinstating your maiden name
        3) Any form of legal document affecting said change
        4) Merger Certificate including tax identification number
        5) Certificate of Name Change including tax identification number

Can Wagner Oil Company provide forms for transfers to beneficiaries or a sale of my interest?

No. The record title owner must designate their wishes for transfer in a Will, Act of Donation, Mineral Deed, Assignment, etc.

How do I report a change of ownership, other than an owner passing away?

Wagner Oil Company will not process a change of ownership without receiving the request in writing, accompanied by a recorded conveyance document from the record title owner. The conveyance must clearly describe the property to be transferred, and have the conveyance recording information for the County or Parish in which the property is located.

Transfer information


Changes in ownership or owner status for land and mineral rights require updated title records. Below contains general guidance and items needed for specific changes. Requirements can change and are the responsibility of the owner to be current under the proper jurisdiction rules.

Personal name change:

        1. Through marriage
            a. Copy of marriage certificate

        2. Through divorce

Company or Corporate Name Change:

Payment information


Can I have my checks Direct Deposited to my bank account?

Yes. Please login and select "Direct Deposit Enrollment" from the left menu option or complete the attached ACH enrollment form.

When are royalty checks issued?

Revenue checks are mailed on (or about) the 20th of each month when your revenue has reached the $100.00 minimum or when minimum suspense is released by year end. Depending on State regulations or lease terms it could be slightly different.

Will my royalty check vary?

Yes. Many factors contribute to your payment, such as market conditions, fluctuating commodity prices, regulatory or contractual changes, changes in the status of the well and volume changes.

What is Ad Valorem Tax?

Ad Valorem taxes on minerals are levied by the County where your minerals are located. This tax is payable only when minerals are producing and are billed and collected by the County once per year.

What is the Severance/Production Tax deducted from my revenue check?

This is a State tax levied upon your pro rata share of production. State governments set these tax rates and they are collected from your royalties and paid by the Operator.

What if my check doesn't arrive in the mail?

If you have not received your check, please check your online account on our webpage to see if one was issued. If you cannot log on, please contact PDS Energy at 800-318-7850 to assist you.

If a check was due, then please wait at least 15 days from the date the check was originally mailed (the 20th of the month), then notify the Revenue Department via email (Revenue Team) or leave a message for the revenue team at 817-968-1736 and we will void the check and re-issue the funds to you on the next available check write date. Once we void your check, please do not attempt to cash it. The check will no longer be honored when presented for payment. For additional guidance, contact the revenue department at Revenue Team or leave a message for the revenue team at 817-968-1736.

What should I do if I lose my check, it is stolen, or I forget to cash it before 90 days?

Contact the Revenue Department and they will void and re-issue the check on the next check write date.

Will I have to pay taxes on the Revenue I receive; if so when will I get a 1099?

Royalty owners who received $10 or more and working interest owners who received $600 or more during the calendar year will receive a 1099. We mail 1099s on or about January 31st of the following year. The income reported to the IRS is your gross income prior to any other deductions or taxes. The 1099 can also be used to report state income tax.

What if I lose my 1099?

What should I do if I have questions regarding my check detail?

Wagner Oil Company will send out the due royalty payments once the issue(s) have been resolved and proper documentation has been received by our land department.

When are royalty payments suspended?

Royalty payments may be suspended for several reasons such as: a missing Tax ID number, invalid or no address, missing or no assignment of interest, a notice of death, lack of ownership information, or an ownership of mineral rights dispute. Wagner Oil Company will only release royalty payments in accordance with our minimum suspense criteria above.

Wagner Oil Company will send out the due royalty payments once the issue(s) have been resolved and proper documentation has been received by our revenue team.

When are revenue netted (JIB) checks issued?

If your net revenues exceed your net expenses, a check will be issued to you by the end of the monthly closing period.

How do I access my monthly JIB invoice free of charge online?

Please use our customer website hosted by PDS Energy. Wagner Oil Company will also be posting to JIBLink and OilDex around the fall of 2016.

What should I do if I do not receive my netted revenue check?

Please log on to our Interest Owners section of our website at http://www.wagneroil.com/interest-owners to look at your statements.
